After several weeks of accusations and counter-accusations and power-play, the battle for the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) came to an end following a meeting between soccer buffs and a top official of the country's government.
NFF general secretary Barrister Musa Amadu informed that after a three-hour meeting between football chiefs and the country's Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim on Sunday, the different groups came to a conclusion to "fashion out a roadmap for the elections".

It was agreed during the gathering on Sunday that instead of an elective congress, scheduled for Tuesday, there will only be a congress that will resolve the election process.

Elections into the NFF executive committee will now be held two weeks after the August 26 congress, Amadu revealed.
